Application for a Doctoral Contract with Université de Haute Alsace (France)

For the academic year 2024-25, the University of Haute Alsace is offering 12 doctoral research contracts for the recruitment of 9 doctoral students in Exact Sciences and 3 doctoral students in Humanities and Social Sciences.

To apply for a doctoral contract, please complete this online application form.

• Friday 10 may 2024 at 5pm in SHS (ED101, ED221, ED519, and ED520)
• Friday 26 April 2024 at 5pm in Exact Sciences (ED182, ED222, ED269)

 Who is eligible to apply? Students who meet the following requirements:

• First PhD registration in 2024-25

• Not be registered as a doctoral student in another French or foreign higher education institution;

• Application supported by a doctoral director entitled to direct research in one of the UHA laboratories;

• You must have a Master's degree or equivalent.

PLEASE NOTE :

There are 7 pages of questions in this online application form, which will take you ~ 30 minutes to complete.

As you complete the questions, you can move from one question or page to another. You can save a partially completed online application. However, you cannot change your answers after submitting the form. Therefore, make sure you have answered all the questions before submitting it.

In the last section of the questionnaire you will be asked to upload the documents required for registration. Make sure you have all the required documents in pdf format before you start.

• Copy of identity card
• Curriculum Vitae
• A letter of motivation addressed to the head of the Exact Sciences and Humanities and Social Sciences training centre
• A copy of the diploma of the year Bac + 3 or a certificate of success delivered by the school service
• Transcripts of the first semester grades for semesters 1, 2 and 3. These transcripts must bear the institution's stamp and must indicate the courses taken, the marks obtained, the average for the semester, the candidate's ranking and the number of successful candidates.
• An advice from the Master 2 supervisor for applications in Exact Sciences
• The file of the thesis director or team, i.e. for each thesis director or co-director :
  • the date of obtaining the HDR
  • The name and address of the laboratory for non-mulhousian directors
  • The names of their currently supervised doctoral students
  • The expected date of defense of each of these students
